My first year driving, my parents got me a year of AAA. It was the cheaper option that only had 3 miles of free towing on it, which was pretty useless for me. I <strong>did</strong> think a few weeks ago that I should really get AAA again, this time the better option that gives something like 100 miles free towing, because, again, my truck gets towed an awful lot. Unfortunately, it's too late now (except for planning for the next time). My car insurance does have emergency road service, and I do intend on filing a claim with them as soon as I get the receipt, as I've done in the past. I am not certain what the cost is, but let's say $75. You have an older vehicle. One tow a year pays for the membership. Sam's Club sells one for less.
