Secondary Savings Fund Established

July 2, 2009

Since I struggled previously with budgeting for savings, and still am, and still couldn’t come up with a plan, I’ve opted to take the slow way out. My secondary savings goal is $1,200, at the moment. $800 of that is for the computer build, and $400 for a firearm.

When I say slow, I mean sloooowww. Funding sources for these savings will be my change jar (which just clocked in at $15.09, woowee!), leftovers from each week’s budget, and blog income.

Speaking of budget leftovers… heh… uhm… I’ve still got $20 left for the week? So much for freaking out about busting it and sending my checking account to hell again. I’ve still got all of today to do just that, though.

Are you taking us out for beers with that leftover $20?

Heck no, buy your own beer! I’ve got stuff to save up for!

Oh, and I kinda broke down and spent $10 on gas today… had to go up north and finally turn in my gear up there when I saw they had a call earlier.
