Holy NSF Fees, Batman!

June 3, 2009 · 1 comment

So the debt collector did withdraw that $200 for last month. It only appeared on my account early this morning. Result? Well, for one thing, my CapOne balance is almost where it was at the beginning of the year now. However, due to them not honoring my request, Wachovia slapped me with a whopping (wait for it… wait for it…) $140 in NSF fees! After my protest email of the insanity of this amount, they agreed to refund one instance of it… a whole $35, when I had in fact requested that they refund all of them except one.

So now my checking account stands at an awesome negative $200, and I’m expecting at least one more NSF fee by the time my pay comes through on Friday.

At this point I might as well just leave the payment date the same as it is, otherwise they might want two payments in one month, or something like that. This results in not being able to make any payments to my mom or my sister with this week’s paycheck.

Sucks – yes. You learned a lesson though and will not have this happen again. Mom & sis will understand – just show them the fees. And do not let this detour you from your path.
