Not really! I’ve had 3 ticks in me this week, compared to zero the whole rest of my life. Last night, I removed one with the completely wrong tool for the job (pliers). Some crushing happened, but at least I got it out, right? Not too terribly surprising that only a day later I’ve got symptoms of Lyme disease.
And yes, I really am going to call my usual doctor and a clinic to see who can manage to charge me the least for a 5 minute visit and prescription written out.

what are your symptoms? i read this on a website for lyme disease…..”Don’t confuse a local reaction to a tick bite, with signs of infection. A small inflamed skin bump or discoloration that develops within hours of a bite and over the next day or two is not likely to be due to infection – but rather a local reaction to the disruption of the skin.”
You know, I was pretty certain that it’s supposed to take a few days to show up. However, it is a small bullseye, and the doctor did agree with me when he saw it. And I’ve already started taking the antibiotics, so I can’t very well stop now, and I’d rather be safe than sorry.
