I am now officially moved. Yay me. I still have a ton of work to do. The truck needs inspected so I can get all the furniture and other big stuff down here, and I need to find someone to help me. I’m also not entirely sure what furniture I really need anymore, and then there’s the issue with the aquarium.
I’ve moved the aquarium before, but it’s nothing short of a royal pain in the ass. It requires three buckets – one for the sand, one for the fish, and one for some extra water that they’re already used to. It truely is a day long project. Heck, just draining 70 gallons of water takes forever. I’m contemplating leaving it there, or finding someone who will take it and do all the work while they’re at it. We’ll see.
The entire storage room needs cleaned out yet as well, and there’s really no place to go with that stuff but up in the attic, which raises another problem. My mom still has a ton of stuff here that she hasn’t taken yet, which leaves my options for actually unpacking stuff… minimal.
Not only is moving here going to be difficult in the way of change of scenery, location, building, etc…. but also sort of a change of way of life. I’m now living with someone else, with whom I have to do my damndest not to frustrate. There’s real food available, of which I don’t even know what I’m free to eat – I’ll likely continue buying my own food. And here I am starving in the middle of the night wanting to run to the grocery store for some snacks n such, but holding off as long as I can so as to avoid waking him. I feel like I’m pretty much stuck upstairs during the night, as his bed is right at the bottom of the stairs.
This is gonna be tough. Hell, I don’t even have a bed yet.

Hey Jake, I know this seems excruciatingly hard, but you will survive and have a lesson to carry with you your entire life.
I would like to see you get up every morning and give yourself some positive feed, even if you don’t believe it – do it every morning or anytime in the day you think about it. In fact, write a few things down and keep it in your wallet or tape it to a mirror and say them out loud, every time you see them.
1. I am lucky.
2. I am wealthy.
3. I am a good person.
4. I am loved.
just some examples.
