No, no, I didn’t finally get it registered and inspected. Exactly a year after I did it, It’s been featured on Art Car Central – partly because I didn’t know if it would be considered an art car, but mostly because I don’t know what to do about the work of art that she is. Now that the elections are long gone, it’s almost embarrassing. It shouldn’t be, as it was a matter of dedication, and I should be proud of it, but…. you know. And I did say way back then that I wasn’t going to take them off. I still don’t want to take them off – it’ll take for freaking ever, they’ll be really hard to get off, they’ll probably take the paint off with them (yeah yeah, I don’t own a hairdryer or an extension cord that long), and I really don’t want to go to that much effort. However, unseen in the pictures are the two panels on the passenger side (door and bed) that I never got around to finishing. Plus all the trim and bare spots.
So… finish it? Paint it over (only choice there would be spraypaint)? Leave as is? If anything, I figure it’ll be pretty cool 10, 20 years from now…
