Here we go…

My training was moved up to tomorrow, 1500. One of the nicest things about this (or pretty much any) new job is a regular schedule. Out at the park, the schedule was never the same, the hours were never the same, and so it made it difficult to budget. Structure, and a regular paycheck, that’s what I need. I figure about $300/week after taxes. Not only does that make it a whole lot easier to live off of, it’ll make it a ton easier to attack this debt! The only thing I’m worried about is the 23 mile drive out there (which of course means a 46 mile round trip) and what that’ll do to my gas bill. All the more reason to get my scooter fixed, I guess.

I picked up my last paycheck from the employment agency today. $150.86, which is pretty good, because I forgot to check my spreadsheet and for some reason thought I was only getting $60 or so. That’s another $15.09 to my gun fund and another $15.09 ING Direct CD.

I’m still not sure if I want to go back to school or not. Sure, I’ll get a degree, woo, but, I finally found a job that I can live decently off of, and going to school will just drive me deeper into debt, with no guarantee that I’ll get anything out of it. No way to know if it’ll be worth it.

Katie and I had a pretty good long talk at work yesterday. It was pretty nice. Hoping to hear from her soon.

P.S. I’m finally completely clear to drive Fire Police 14 in an emergency fashion. Stay out of my way.
